Chad J. Achord is a Louisiana native who spends his days in the operating room as a nurse anesthetist and his nights crafting imaginative worlds for young readers. Originally from Walker, LA, Chad now lives in Abita Springs with his wife of 25 years, Paula, and their two children.

Their son, Joshua, is a collegiate golfer studying finance at the University of South Alabama, and their daughter, Abigail, is a high-school student with aspirations of becoming a dermatologist.

Blending his love of storytelling with the rich culture of the Gulf Coast, Chad creates children’s books that celebrate adventure, heart, and the magic of Louisiana.
